Life Update: Navigating New Chapters

This blog post touches on a little bit of everything and that’s exactly how life lately tends to go, so roll with me on this one. When I sat down to write my post for this week I had so many topics I wanted to talk and update you guys on so I figured it was time for a little catch-up on EVERYTHING..

1. Settling into the New House

We’ve finally settled into our new home! More space, new opportunities – that’s what we wanted. We wanted the space partly so that we could host more at our house..no shocker we’re already prepping to host our first gathering this week, a ‘Friendsgiving’ (friends/Thanksgiving must haves), where we’ll break in our new space and celebrate with close friends. Moving also allowed us to dip our toes into the world of property rental. Obviously we are still rookies in this space but, so far if I could recommend anything to someone looking to get a rental property up and going it would be TurboTenant. One of my good friends told me about TurboTenant and it has been a game-changer. It has assisted us in everything from creating leases to handling payments. #AWin

Also, Make sure you are following me over on LTK to keep up with our newest home decor purchases!

2. Dealing with Loss and Grief

Amidst the excitement, we’ve also been facing some challenging times with the loss of two family members to cancer in the same week – my grandfather and my husband’s sister. What we have seen is that grief can pull us apart or bring us closer together and it is often a roller coaster. Here are three tips I’ve learned to navigate this tough journey:

Communicate openly and supportively.

Respect each other’s unique ways of processing grief.

Seek professional help or therapy if needed.

Through it all we are saying open and supportive of each other – it’s not easy, but we’re learning as we go.

3. Finding My Workout Groove

In brighter news – I’ve finally found a workout routine that I’m actually sticking to! Tennis, a sport that I grew up playing, is back in my life. It’s not just about the game but the people anddddd the calories I burn haha. I’ve also hopped on the Orange Theory train – stay tuned for updates on that! (My Tennis Favorites)

So, that’s where I am at the moment. Life’s truly a journey, and I’m learning, growing, and embracing every moment of it. Here’s to the twists and turns ahead! 🏡💕✨
