Atlanta Supper Club | Finding New Friendships as an Adult

 outfit details linked here.

One thing that I hear a lot, and have even been guilty of saying myself, is that making new friends as an adult is hard. As someone who has started over in 4 different cities as an adult, I can confidently say I have changed my stance on this. Here’s why: I’ve learned that the thing that makes cultivating new friendships as an adult hard is how guarded our hearts become over time. It makes sense; we experience more, and we just aren’t quite as bright-eyed and bushy-tailed when it comes to really being open to new friendships.

This year, I’ve made it a point to lean more into trusting my intuition about people when I meet them, versus letting past experiences dictate the moments. That’s partly what landed me at the Eating With Erica Supper Club. The internet, if no one else, has made it clear that women love to go out to aesthetically pleasing dinners with friends, and if you are like me, you’ll want a cute photo op while you’re already all dressed up as well! Haha. So, it was as simple as that. I knew the supper club offered cute dinners on a monthly basis that I did not have to plan or coordinate schedules with anyone to attend… sold!

Clearly, this started out as me simply trying to find things to do that I was just genuinely interested in. Now, what I found when I went to my first EWE event was so much more than a cute dinner, and I fully credit Erica for that. She carefully crafts this group to ensure it’s a value-add for everyone. In all seriousness, every single woman has something to bring to the table, and that alone naturally makes for great conversation. Networking is done, drinks are sipped, laughs are had… oh, and the food is ALWAYS amazing.

The first time I went to an event, I was solo and a little gun-shy, but this has easily turned into one of the things I look forward to most each month. If I’m being honest, I’ve found a lot of things in Atlanta to be fluff or not worth the hype, and this one is absolutely worth it! If I had to leave you with one takeaway here, it would be to do the things you love in life, and you will find like-minded people, some of whom will turn into friends, along the way. We don’t have to make this adult friendship thing so complicated.

And with that being said, I’ll add the link to apply here. Let me know if you have any questions!
