A Weekend Getaway Guide for Savannah

I recently had the most amazing weekend in Savannah, GA, and per usual I always want to share the details here. In this post I’ll give you a full run down (itinerary style) to help you plan your trip to Savannah. Let’s get into it!

Where to Stay: Perry Lane Hotel
First things first, let’s talk about where we stayed—The Perry Lane Hotel. Let me tell you, this place was pure indulgence! From the moment we arrived, the staff provided top tier service welcoming us with glasses of champagne. The rooms were plush, and the hotel’s ambiance was both cozy and chic. Not to mention, it’s conveniently located near some of the city’s best spots, we could walk almost everywhere.

Drinks with a View: Peregrin Pool and Bar
We kicked off our Savannah adventure with some craft drinks at the Peregrin Pool and Bar. Picture this—a scenic pool view, craft cocktails in hand, and a perfect sunset on the horizon..you need it! It was the ultimate relaxation experience, and we met some friends in the pool who were equally as kind as the staff.

Best Place to Dine: Garibaldi
Now, let’s talk about food! If you’re a foodie like my husband, Garibaldi is a must-visit. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the menu was packed with mouthwatering options. Personally, I went with their Salmon, and let me tell you, it did not disapoint! Oh, and their calamari and New York cheesecake were also well worth it. I will say that you’ll want to make a reservation a head of time as they are pretty booked. If the whole reservation thing slips your mind, no worries if you get there early you can grab dinner at the bar.

Evening Entertainment: JW Marriott
For some evening fun, we headed to JW Marriott, this property is huge! They had a ton of activities going on, from live music to a lively casino. While we were there we checked out the Electric Moon Skytop Lounge, the view was everything! The river stretched out below us, and we had so much fun dancing all night with their live DJ (the DJ starts around 9pm).

Daytime Adventures: Pedal Pub Tour
For daytime adventures, we did a Pedal Pub Tour. Now, don’t get me wrong—it was fun, but there’s one thing we overlooked. Savannah is a popular bachelorette destination, so be prepared to share your tour with some lively bach parties. But hey, the more the merrier!

It only took us about 4.5 hours to drive to Savannah from Atlanta, which made it a perfect a weekend getaway. It’s packed with things to do, and  so much southern charm!

So, if you’re looking for a perfect blend of luxury, good food, stunning views, and fun activities, then you should definitely be considering Savannah! Trust me, you won’t regret it!
