Sun, Sand, and Style: Your Perfect Weekend Trip Guide to Miami
This past weekend my sister and I went to Miami for a quick weekend trip to celebrate her birthday and it was everything! Here is how we made the most of 48 hours in the city!
First things first, we decided to stay at the 1 Hotel and it’s hands down the best choice in Miami. This eco-friendly luxury hotel is in a prime location and perfect for a relaxing and chic stay. Since we weren’t going to be in the city for long, we wanted to stay at a hotel that had everything we needed so that we didn’t waste a lot of time catching Ubers around the city. With multiple pools, including a rooftop pool with stunning views of the city skyline and the ocean, we really soaked up the sun and enjoyed delicious cocktails during the day. The hotel’s on-site restaurants offer diverse culinary experiences, from healthy farm-to-table options to gourmet dining. This proved to be a nice touch because we could switch up the lunch options without leaving the hotel. Although this hotel can be a bit pricey, it’s seriously an all-in-one location and worth every penny.
For our evening plans, we wanted to make reservations at restaurants that would give us food and fun all in one because let’s be honest, at this age we aren’t going bar hopping anymore, lol.
Our first evening out, we went to Kiki on the River for a taste of Mediterranean cuisine with a waterfront view. This popular spot is known for its fresh seafood, grilled meats, and vibrant atmosphere. It may not be as upscale as you initially expected, but the laid-back vibe and scenic riverfront setting make for a memorable dining experience.

On our second night, we had a more formal birthday dinner at Papi Steak, known for its top-notch steaks and elegant ambiance, with an amazing music selection. With its modern decor and chic atmosphere, Papi Steak delivers a dining experience that will impress you without a doubt.
*Both of these restaurants transform into a lively lounge/club atmosphere after 8pm and require making reservations ahead of time.*
Our 48-hour trip to Miami was a truly unforgettable experience, filled with relaxation and fun, as we were celebrating a special occasion. If you are looking to plan a quick weekend getaway in Miami with the girls or solo, definitely consider adding these places to your must-visit list. You won’t regret it, I promise!
